Countless stories have been written about man’s best friend, many recounting tales of perseverance and loyalty. The beautifully illustrated Rags to Riches: A Dog’s Tale of Hope and Friendship tells the story of a young pup named Rags who finds herself lost in the oil fields of West Texas.

Tired, hot and lonely, Rags realizes that what she really needs is a friend.  As she wanders through the oil fields, Rags’ strength is tested as she runs into numerous animals who reject her attempts to seek out friendship. Refusing to give up hope, she continues her journey until she stumbles upon a real friend in an unexpected place.

With valuable lessons about bullying, perseverance, and true friendship, Rags to Riches makes a wonderful addition to the classroom bookshelf or bedtime story collection.

You can purchase your own copy of Rags to Riches: A Dog’s Tale of Hope and Friendship here.

One lucky Mom Central reader will win a copy of Rags to Riches: A Dog's Tale of Hope and Friendship and an elegantly framed poster of Rags the dog.

This giveaway is now closed.

Congrats to our winner, Ruth, and thanks to all who entered!
