Kohl's is a client of Mom Central Consulting. Mom Central attended and coordinated this event in conjunction with Kohl’s.

It’s time to revamp the wardrobe now that spring and summer are upon us. Days are longer which means that outfits need to also go the distance. Sometimes the challenge becomes finding those pieces that are so fabulous and versatile. With Kohl’s new DesignNation spring/summer 2014 launch from designer Peter Som – there is a plethora of stylish, on trend fashion finds!

At a recent event at Kohl’s, in Jersey City, to preview the Peter Som collection with fashion forward bloggers, not only were the bloggers impressed with the collection but also the man behind the fashion, Peter Som himself. He mingled with the bloggers to help them style outfits from not only his collection but also from other lines of clothing at the store.

Mom Central received an invite to free screening event of this movie in Chicago.

Looking for a light, funny, family-friendly movie to see this coming holiday season? Try the new Vince Vaughn film Delivery Man, which opens in theaters on Friday, November 22nd.

Vince Vaughn plays David Wozniak, a character that is in debt with the mob, an underachiever and a man whose life is on the slow train to nowhere. To make matters worse for him, his life turns upside down when he learns he fathered 533 kids through donations he made at the fertility clinic over 20 years ago. He’s faced with the decision to come forward and reveal his identity when 142 of his children file a lawsuit asking to know who is their father.

To make matters worse, he also finds out his current girlfriend is pregnant. And she doesn’t even want to be with him because he just can’t seem to get his life together.

This movie takes you through the journey with Vaughn’s character and his struggle with doing the “right thing” for all the children he never knew he had.

We’ve all seen that adorable, lovingly pudgy Pillsbury Doughboy, and have come to cherish the buttery taste of his most infamous, flaky crescent rolls. But, that’s not all the Doughboy has ready to cook up. Equally as delicious, Pillsbury’s new line of Pizza Crusts boast a crispy, golden base, perfect for customized meals at home.

Whether you’ve got a picky eater who’ll only devour plain, or one who won’t touch a green vegetable, customizing pizza proves a perfect way to incorporate all taste buds at dinnertime.

As Moms, we focus a great deal of energy on sugar – monitoring how much of it our kids consume, looking for baking and cooking alternatives for our family, and figuring out substitute sweeteners to control our own sugar intake.

In our efforts to keep sugar consumption at bay, it can be a challenge for Moms to think about sugar or sweeteners in a positive light – and even more difficult to think about health benefits associated with them. So when I learned about Xylitol, a natural sweetener that helps prevent tooth decay and helps fight upper respiratory issues, I wanted to learn more. Initially, I had just limited knowledge of Xylitol as a natural sweetener that could be found at my local Whole Foods.

So earlier this month, I attended an educational conference in Cancun, Mexico, for Mom Bloggers on Xylitol, featuring members from the scientific and medical communities, along with representatives from Xlear, an organization that manufactures products containing Xylitol.
