A busy, working Mom like myself finds it very difficult to stay healthy while eating on-the-go for breakfast. So many options exist that quell my hunger, but don’t exactly stick to my diet. Most nutrition articles warn that a gut busting flavored coffee or breakfast sandwich can equal an entire day’s worth of calories. No thanks!

I do love the steps Dunkin Donuts is taking towards improving their entire menu in the name of health. The new DD Smart products help trim your waistline and your spending at the same time. Being able to customize my sandwiches and wraps with egg whites (25% less calories) makes for a much healthier alternative than the regular yokes Dunkins uses. I also like to munch on the Cranberry Orange Muffin, which only has 3 grams of fat. Lastly, for those of you who need their pick-me-up in the morning, any purchase of a medium hot coffee or beverage can come with a breakfast sandwich for only $.99

So now I don’t feel guilty stopping for a quick breakfast on the way to work, and I start the day off right by making a healthy choice. Well, maybe a donut or two won’t hurt…

In conjunction with this post, I received 2 $5 Dunkin Donuts gift cards to try their new menu items, and 10 cards to give away, so comment below by February 10th to enter to win!
