Sometimes I go back and edit things I notice later in the day. I usually do my posting @ 5 A.M. before work. Later I'll check in to see if anyone has left comments and I'll notice typos so I will fix (edit) them. I too try to keep my personal life in check when blogging. I don't want to divulge too much about any one topic or whatever, but at the same time I want my readers to know a little bit about me- the real me. I felt like I should have taken a post down, but after much deliberation I decided to leave it up- only because it wasn't really my work (I gave credit to the original author and also made my readers aware that it was ctrl copy kinda article), but I felt the over "good" material of the article was beneficial and left it up. I did however leave a reply in the comments section to the person whom I felt that I had offended and also emailed the person and let them know that my intent was not at all to offend them. It was an article on breastfeeding- what the reader didn't know is that like her I myself struggled and had many issues with breastfeeding. I couldn't breastfeed my first one at all and I tried with my second, but it was also a fail- I was able to pump for a while though. Breastfeeding is a very ht topic and many women are sensitive to it. I know at first I was. I felt guilty and very remorseful that I was unable to. I had 2 c-sections and was doped up on all kinds of meds which delayed starting the breastfeeding process. So in the long run- it's something that will be dealt with on occasion and when that bridge comes is when we will have to decide what to do as bloggers. In the meantime keep writing your truths and be you- why modify, edit, or delete yourself. If it is something you feel you must do-do it- otherwise life goes on. We cannot please everyone all of the time. Someone will always be offended, upset, excited, happy, whatever and there is nothing we can do to change that. We just have ton grin and nod like we have no idea what's going on. ;)
