I have a part-time job as the Program Director of the before and after school program at my son's school. I took the job to enjoy a steady income and be able to bring my son to work. YIKES! It's a WHOLE lot more work having my son with me.

I also work as a travel agent from home. I'm still working on giving 100% of me to my kids when they need me.

You know, working from home can be challenging for a lot of women, depending on whether or not you balance your time for 'work' and time for fun with the kids. You're right, its not easy to get things done if you are writing content, or creating videos to promote your passion business... and you've got a 2 year old hanging from the chandelier!!

But for me, I have to say that I am blessed to have been able to also retire my husband from working outside of the home because when I do in fact want to create fresh content, etc.or I need 'me' time, he is there as Daddy to keep the baby entertained while I take care of what I desire to take care of.

So, being a work at home Mom is a whole lot more than blogging! Blogging is a part of getting my voice-- my thoughts out to other Moms in hopes that they can "simplify" their experience working from home. It doesn't at all have to be hard. Leverage your time... Leverage the internet...

Being a work at home Mom can be simplified for anyone, so long as they design their business in a way that leverages time. You have to use the 80/20 rule to grow your home business. Most of my work leverages time. So, what is work in my household includes me and my husband working out at the gym, and fantastic nights of my family dining out with our friends and their children... That's how work is for the Walkers!

But, its about remembering your passion of being a mother, and remembering what you've always wanted for your family... For myself personally, there was a need and want for more free time to spend with my husband and children. So, we decided to build a family business that doesn't require intense content writing, and grows by leveraging time and the internet.

I believe that work is work. Being a mother is a beautiful gift that a woman could receive. When you work smarter, not harder, you'll find that being a stay at home Mom is a lot simpler than NOT being one. Its because you have ample time to dedicate to your family, and when it is time to 'work', it isn't anything at all like work... It's way too fun to be work!

Many blessings,

Thank you Jill
Last night while I was trying to get to sleep I was thinking I might write a post about Stay at Home Moms today, and yours came up in my facebook feed.
It is sooo hard to stay at home (I know its hard to work and juggle home life as well) but I think the 'bar' is set to high, we all try to do so much, we feel inadequate if we're not giving 100% to our kids, have our homes like show houses, be 'there' for our husbands, (don't even mention the circus acts we fell we should be doing in the bedroom !!) and then throw in friends, family, a couple of dogs and cats and what have you got - one very exhausted mother !!! (I thought I'd be MUCH better at this mother/wife stuff lol!)

Last year I took my kids away for a week by myself, On the way home my husband picked us up at the airport, I wanted to take a seperate taxi home just to get away from them lol!! I just wanted SILIENCE
