Very safe.

You will find that Teflon is no longer used in any cookware at all. Beware of some older stock that may still be floating around, but it has been many years since Teflon in cookware has been banned.

I have been searching for non-stick cookware that works for many years with many dissapointments, the latest being the ceramic cookware which is not much better than the traditional non-stick cookware. Next to very expensive Titanium coated cookware, The Rock is the best! I have a 30cm Rock frying pan and I cannot believe how good it is. We have had it for 3 months now and it still performs like new.

Just remember to keep the heat no more than medium and never heat the pan empty. No metal utensils and clean only with a soft cloth, not a scrubber. You shouldn't need a scrubber any way.

I am very happy with this pan. My expensive ceramic pan never gets used now.

I have the rock cookware and I use it ALL the time! I have never had anything stick in it, or to it, or on it. Food almost seems to float in it! I always use a teaspoon or so of olive oil in it (my preference) and everything from eggs, to fish cooks wonderfully. Would recommend to everyone! My frying pan didn't come with a lid but I just use a glass one from another starfrit model and it fits like it was made for it. Use the lid occasionally when needed.

I love this pan! My boyfriend however turned on the wrong burner (which my pan was on) on high heat and didn't notice until he saw smoke. So my question is...should I replace it? I'm not sure whether by leaving it on high heat ruined it or possibly released something I wouldn't want in my food. I know that might sound stupid but i'm paranoid lol
