I'm a huge tattoo advocate...but 12? I'm with you on this momma. I remember wanting tattoos and piercings when I was younger and my parents always said I could make that choice when I was 18. And I did, I got my first tattoo on my 18th birthday; a little horse on my ankle. No regrets. I also think there is beginning to be this generational gap and differences between piercings, hair, tattoos, etc. Tattoos can be a beautiful form of self-expression, but also something that should be given some thought. I highly doubt she'll want the same things when she turns 18...and if she does, then it was meant to be!
