my-very-very-busy-dayBanfield Pet Hospitals are known for fostering family-pet relationships through the care of pets with expert veterinarians and products that create a better world for both pets and people. One of the most trusted and recognized pet hospital systems in the country, Banfield has partnered with Quvenzhané Wallis, star of the newest movie musical “Annie,” to release My Very, Very Busy Day, a fun and engaging children’s book that highlights the importance of responsible pet ownership and the love we all feel as owners of cats and dogs.

There’s undoubtedly a special bond between pets and people, and this children’s book, with an adorable plotline through the perspective of two furry friends, shows us how important it is to treat that bond with respect, and how much work it really may be to be a pet owner, whether an adult or a child.

In My Very, Very Busy Day, an energetic and entertaining dog named Captain Noodles and his smart cat friend Kitty spend their day eating, playing, and sleeping. Among these favorite activities, the two take a trip to the veterinarian, where they have their hearts and eyes checked in a routine appointment that reminds both the child and parent how important good veterinary services are to keeping happy and healthy pets! The story’s cute because it presents itself form the point of view of the cat and dog, and make the idea of “responsible pet ownership” far more accessible to readers of all ages.

Influence Central’s Amy Turner read this book with her son Gavin, and as they have recently started talking about getting a puppy, the story was both timely and appropriate. With a “search and find” type challenge on every page to look for a hidden dog chew toy, Gavin remained engaged and excited to talk about the material. Finding the chew toy was rewarding for Gavin, and being able to talk about pets, the work it takes to make pets happy and healthy, and how that requires the entirefamily, makes this book a worthwhile and essential addition to your child’s growing library.

My Very, Very Busy Day is available for a suggested $10 donation at all of Banfield Pet Hospital’s 880 locations in the United States. Find a Banfield Pet Hospital near you with their hospital locator, and find out more information about the book, the Banfield Charitable Trust that receives all donations, and their partnership with aspiring veterinarian Quvenzhané Wallis here.
