With my daughters so far apart in age (8 years), they spent their formative years in different eras, digitally. Namely, I have physical album upon physical album chronicling my university-aged daughter’s younger years, and only a handful of hard-copy photos of my middle-school-aged daughter.
The reason, for me, is Facebook. My younger daughter was 3 years old when I joined Facebook, which made it so easy to create albums and share photos with friends and family online.
I keep planning on physically printing all the photos I’ve stored (because I am also acutely-aware that Facebook hosting all these cherished memories is RISKY!), but the more time that passes, the more daunting the task becomes!
Still, my 12-year-old remains unimpressed with my excuses.
Does anyone else have this problem? How are you handling it?
