Any mother will tell you there’s no replacing a mother’s rocking arms. Such a simple act of love to get your little one to fall asleep or calm down, can turn right back into a screaming fit once you put her down. There are so many products on the market that claim to help ease the transition from mom rocking to baby resting peacefully on her own. Swings, vibrating chairs, and swaying bassinettes all join the ranks of products that are a must have for this purpose. But I’ve run across another product that quite literally mimics the feel of a mother’s rocking arms.

The InGenuity™ Cozy Coo™ Sway Seat is a hands-free approach to soothing baby. By offering either a side-to-side movement or a swinging motion, mom can choose which motion their little one prefers. It also offers three different reclining positions for comfort, six swing speeds, and plays sounds of nature or music while rocking.

Test driving the InGenuity™ Cozy Coo™ Sway Seat

First, it was easy to assemble. Not that I did the assembling. I had my family over for a small birthday gathering and they decided to tackle the project together. It took a mere eight minutes for three people to put the entire swing together. Score for us mechanically inept folks.

Since my little one isn’t due until mid-October, I had my nephew Georgie try it out. He’s on the larger side of infancy at six months, but fit in the swing beautifully and loves the side-to-side motion. He also seemed to really like the vibrating feature, which turns the swing into a soothing infant seat. This seat has really come in handy for my sister-in-law who comes over with Georgie to watch my two-year-old twice a week. This is super encouraging to me as I’m not sure what I’ll be getting myself into once this little one comes along next month. The InGenuity™ Cozy Coo™ Sway Seat just may save my sanity!

What I also like about this swing is it does not take up much space. A bonus as many of us find our home overrun with baby gear! I also love that the swing can run off of batteries or an A/C plug-in, making it more portable.

This item retails for $119.99 at Target and from what I’ve read online, the InGenuity™ Cozy Coo™ Sway Seat is a very affordable option compared to other models on the market.
