A woman can never have too many purses. If you ventured into any of our closets, you would see handbags in every size, shape and color. But that doesn’t mean we plan to stop adding to the collection, especially when brands like Olivia + Joy offer up such fashion-forward new designs!

With the spring season, I love carrying a bag that combines different textures. I wear a lot of black no matter the season, but that doesn’t mean I want to carry around a black leather bag. That’s why I love the Janice Satchel in black and straw. It takes a more casual material like straw, which is usually found in beach totes, and turns it into an everyday bag that I plan to use while I walk around the city. This particular style is on the larger side with two open side pockets, so it can fit a lot of accessories. I’ll likely carry it by the two woven top handles, but for versatility the bag comes with a longer detachable strap if you want to wear it on your shoulder or even as a large cross-body. The Janice Satchel also comes in black. The bamboo clasp detail in the front gives it the perfect touch for spring, too!

Another bag that I know I’ll be carrying well into summer is the Rory Perf Tote. The website shows the bag in white or black, but it arrived to our offices in bright blue – love the bold statement that color makes! It’s the perfect accessory to compliment flower-patterned and lighter colored clothing, which I plan to wear this spring. The perforated look is a bit edgier, but don’t worry, the lining and zippers ensure that nothing will escape. I’m actually tempted to go back and purchase this bag in white as well!
