Mom Central received Bialetti bakeware and cookware to facilitate this review. All opinions are our own.

When you marry into an Italian family, one thing is clear – good food is of the utmost importance. Meals are taken very seriously, and it’s as much about the tools used to create the dishes as it is the end result. I was first exposed to Bialetti as it is the de-facto brand of espresso maker in my mother-in-law’s house. She owns about eight of them in every size imaginable, and I of course have one in my own home. Traveling around Italy this summer, I noticed the Bialetti Moka Express coffee makers were in all the shops, and in a wide selection of color choices, too. So, I was so excited to learn that now these fun colors are available in the States, and I’m planning to add a purple one to my collection very soon!

What I was even more excited about was how extensive the Bialetti brand really is. It’s so much more than just coffee! I love to cook and bake, and I was pleased to see that Bialetti has introduced a new line of non-stick pots, pans, and ceramic bakeware. I was able to try out the Aeternum Bakeware and cookware from the Aeternum Signature Series by Chef Fabio Viviani (of Top Chef fame), and have to say that I loved both for different reasons.

It’s easy to love the look of the Aeternum Bakeware with its red exterior, but the most important thing is the quality of the line. The bakeware is made using aluminized steel and white ceramic technology, but I was pleasantly surprised by how light the pans were. I love making homemade muffins, but even with pans that claim to be non-stick, I still use cooking spray or paper liners out of fear that the muffins won’t come out neatly. I decided to test the Aeternum line, and my apprehension was put to rest as my corn muffins came out easily!

Bialetti Cookware
We love to cook in my house, and know the importance of using quality pots and pans. I’ve always been a bit wary about non-stick because of the chemicals used to make the coating, but I love the ease and effectiveness of it too much to completely abandon it.

It’s important to note that the Aeternum Signature Series cookware is PFOA-free and eco-friendly – the non-stick coating is applied at a low temperature leading to a lower emission of CO2 into the atmosphere. I felt much better using the pans knowing that the non-stick coating was safer, and the easy to clean surface after cooking is fantastic. My favorite of the collection has been the Deep Sauté Pan. The depth makes it a great tool for making flavorful sauces, and it’s been getting a lot of use in my house!

All of these fantastic products can be purchased at Bed, Bath & Beyond, or on Bialetti’s website at bialetti.com. Buon Appetito!
