A year ago today, I was smack in the middle of spending a fabulous semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy. I loved all things Italian before I went, but after four months of Italian living I became totally obsessed. Now that I am back in the US I love getting my hands on anything genuinely Italian or things that remind me of my time there. Naturally, this means I jumped at the chance to try Biscotti Babies from Edible Adventures.
There was many a night during my semester abroad that, after stuffed from a wonderful traditional Italian meal made by my host-mom, we would sit around the table for a while, chatting and munching on some biscotti. I loved the crunchy cookies and still snack on them once in a while, so I was really pleased to find that these Biscotti Babies definitely measure up to my traditional Italian standards. They come in cool flavors like orange almond, cranberry walnut, cinnamon hazelnut (my personal favorite), and double chocolate.
I love that these snacks come in small, convenient packs. With spring break and summer just around the corner, the fact that each pack is only 100 calories makes them that much sweeter! If you are looking for something for the whole family, each flavor comes in 10 ounce packages as well.
I also really like that these are totally natural, made with only 10 ingredients including whole wheat flour, eggs, butter, sugar, baking powder, and the individual flavor ingredients like walnuts, cranberries, and almond extract. Again, the fact that there are no preservatives or artificial ingredients makes these seem like they were just shipped over from Italy.
If you want to give these snacks a try, they can be found at Whole Foods, Wegmans, and other fine grocery stores. You can also contact Edible Adventures and ask about ordering at customerservice@biscottibabies.com.
Two lucky readers will be the recipient of a Biscotti Babies Gift Pack – including loads of yummy goodness for you and your family to enjoy.
