Disclosure: We received a Dyson Pure Cool Link unit in order to facilitate our review. All opinions are our own.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, air pollution inside our homes can be up to five times worse than outside. Considering how much time we spend indoors, this concern warrants our attention.

I tried air purifiers in the past, and found them too bulky, noticeable, or noisy. I was delighted to discover the new Dyson Pure Cool Link, a sleek unit that seamlessly integrates into any room of our home.

The new Dyson Pure Cool Link purifier fan uses a unique 360° Glass HEPA filter. This technology removes 99.97% of pollutants and allergens as small as 0.3 microns from our air – including mold, dust, bacteria, and more. It doesn’t stop there; sensors inside the machine detect changes in conditions before automatically adjusting airflow to maintain target air quality. The machine projects cleaner, purified air around the room – evenly and quietly.

Keeping with smart home technology, the Dyson Pure Cool Link connects with our smartphone via the Dyson Link mobile app. Through the app, we input in our desired air quality target (such as simply maintaining good air quality, sensitive to particles and pollutants, or very sensitive to particles and pollutants) to ensure that room air quality is exactly as we want it to be even when we’re not home.

In addition to serving as an air purifier, the Pure Cool Link doubles its functionality as a fan, which can operate on 10 settings and can remain either stationary or be operated in oscillating mode. The Pure Cool Link’s fan speed and oscillation can be controlled via a small remote or the smartphone app. I loved the Dyson Pure Cool Link’s ultra-quiet operating sound, that proved nearly impossible to detect without the fan operating.

The unit’s smartphone app also allows us to keep track of air quality history, including peak pollution times (like when we clean or cook). If Auto mode is selected, the machine adjusts to pre-approved air quality levels. With two sensors at the back of the machine that measure air quality, it intelligently monitors and stealthily reacts to indoor air quality.

The Dyson Pure Cool Link retails for $499.99 and features a two-year warranty. Given that other larger, clunkier air purifiers can rival this cost, we definitely see the value in this connected device that serves the purpose both of cleaning the air in our home and keeping us cool during the warmer months!
