I look forward to winter all year because of snowboard and ski season. Whether planning a day on the hills or a week-long getaway with friends and family, spending time being active with these beautiful backdrops more than makes up for winter’s messy commutes and too-early sunsets!

This season, I can’t wait to hit the mountains as soon as possible. Sometimes when I snowboard early or late in the season and the weather still feels on the warmer side, I find myself wanting to shed layers, but too often can’t, because I’ve donned a bulky jacket designed for winter’s coldest conditions.

Burton, a leading manufacturer of all things snowboarding, clearly has their riders in mind as the company offers a diverse portfolio of products designed for all of winter’s temperatures and weather conditions.

This year I’ll be starting the season off with the Burton [ak] 2L Altitude Jacket, a lightweight layer designed to keep us looking stylish and dry on the mountain! The jacket leaves you enough room to layer with a Burton hoodie or fleece underneath to make sure you stay warm from the summit to the base of the mountain.

Guaranteed by Burton to keep you dry, this good-looking jacket mixes the storm-proofing power of GORE-TEX fabric with the function and fit that Burton knows you need whether you’re in the backcountry or on the bunny hills. We love this jacket in purple label leaf collage – a beautiful feminine pattern! It is also available in other prints and solids, such as a bright green leaf print called Acid Leaf Camo.

I could not get over just how lightweight this jacket feels, both to the touch and on the body! You will not be bogged down with any extra weight, but will remain totally dry on the mountain. It’s perfect for early and late season, or those perfect BlueBird sunny days we crave during the thick of the winter months!

The Burton [ak] 2L Altitude Jacket also offers thoughtful features including water-resistant zips and an adjustable hood, and you can get it for $399.95 on Burton.com or in flagship or partner retailers.

Try the TWC Sundown Snowboard Pant as you kick off the season! These pants also feel incredibly lightweight, with a loook reminiscent of street-style pants. They offer performance waterproofing that proves both quick-drying and breathable. These pants are slimming and comfortable, so you will look and feel great on the slopes and while you wind down après ski with that hot cocoa at the end of the day! These pants are available in some great neutral colors to best match your look, and retail for $129.95 online and in stores.

If your little ones have outgrown their snow outerwear, or are just looking to update their winter wardrobe, be sure to check out the Disney and Peanuts collaborations that Burton is offering this year! Super cute.
