Spring Break rapidly approaches and I find myself realizing that I have to actually plan my upcoming trip to Las Vegas. I’m not one to get excited about the glitzy offerings that Las Vegas is known for other than the Cirque du Soleil shows and buffets, so I’m trying try to find some activities that can fill my days and nights.

What many people don’t realize is that Las Vegas offers so many alternatives to activities on the Strip. I found a link on the Vegas.com website that shares fun activities to do in Vegas that even kids enjoy, many of which I’ll be doing myself on my vacation!

Red Rock Canyon

While Red Rock Canyon is a bit of a drive out of the center of Las Vegas, it offers amazing views that you wouldn’t expect to find so close to the strip. My roommate lives in Las Vegas and when I told her that I would visit her for spring break, Red Rock was the first place she wanted to take me. I love hiking and outdoor activities so Red Rock offers a great alternative from urban Las Vegas.

M&M’s World

How can you resist four floors of everything chocolate? Not only does M&M’s World Las Vegas offer the classic candies but you can also find apparel, accessories, home décor, jewelry, and more. You can even watch a 3-D movie played daily. Try to not spend all of your money on chocolates so you can get a few M&M’s collectibles! You will definitely be able to spend a good chunk of your time wandering around this candy wonderland.

Madame Tussauds Interactive Wax Attraction

Madame Tussauds has been in many movies and TV shows as a famous attraction. The lifelike wax replicas of famous celebrities are something to see, and at Madame Tussauds Las Vegas you’re even allowed to touch!

Get your 15 minutes of fame by taking a picture of yourself shaking Tom Hanks’ hand or giving a hug to Julia Roberts. Definitely an attraction to see, be prepared to stand in line because this place is popular.
