For Christmas last year, my most anticipated present was the Blackberry Torch 9800. I’ve always been a fan of touch screens, as I believe you can complete actions at a much quicker speed, especially while browsing.
The only thing I ever had an issue with on touch screens was texting and writing emails. I’m a clumsy person, and I find typing via touch screen difficult and very frustrating. You can imagine my excitement when I saw the new Blackberry Torch that contained both touch screen and keyboard capabilities. When I finally unwrapped my present, the following day I went out in the snow and cold to my closest AT&T store to activate my new phone.
While there, I purchased a case for my phone. I purchased a hard cover because I like how they slide more easily into pockets and compartments in my purse, rather than the rubber that tend to stick to materials more easily. What I sadly discovered was whenever I would drop my phone, the top piece to the cover would easily pop off.
With a sliding phone it’s difficult to find a hard, secure cover for such a small, yet essential piece. I eventually lost the top piece in consequence to dropping my
phone too often and gave up on a case all together.
A couple months later, I ran into a friend who also purchased the Blackberry Torch. For her phone, she used something I hadn’t seen before, a Flexi Gel Skin case. I immediately fell in love with the texture of the case as it slid easily into compartments like a hard cover, but stuck to the phone more securely like a rubber cover.
I was even more thrilled to find when I searched for them on Amazon they were as cheap as $2! The hard cover I had initially purchased cost me a hefty $30, so I was more than pleased. I was able to get my favorite color (purple) and since then (about two months now), not once has the top piece popped off when I’ve dropped it.
If you are looking into a cover for your phone that will require two pieces, I would definitely recommend getting a Flexi Gel Skin.
