Influence Central attended an event at the Nintendo World Store in Rockefeller Center to preview some of Nintendo’s new content and we were given a gift card to shop for new products. All of our opinions are our own.

If your kids’ holiday wish lists read like a “who’s who” in the world of gaming giants, at least one of the amazing new video games from Nintendo probably features prominently on it. With such rich content and gaming interaction, the entire family will find themselves playing Nintendo games together this holiday season, and beyond!

Nintendo2Yoshi’s Woolly World – While kids as young as 6 years old will love this, we loved playing it, too! Yoshi and friends are made of adorable yarn, so not only is it fun to watch Yoshi travel through this game, Yoshi tosses yarn balls to clear blocked paths, tangle-up enemies, or even knit together platforms and warp pipes. Yoshi can tug at stray yarn to unravel walls and reveal hard-to-reach areas filled with hidden collectibles. Trust us, this game proves FUN and crafty! Get a Yoshi woolly world amiibo to tackle stages with Double Yoshi ability by unlocking special game features.

Nintendo3Super Mario Maker –  With Super Mario Maker you can design one of four Super Mario games and then play your own levels. You can even take on pre-made courses made by other Nintendo creators and upload your own game creations to share with others. This game encourages creativity and unlocks a whole world of engineering possibilities. Who would have imagined you could create your own Super Mario World? Of course Nintendo did, and you won’t be able to get enough of the endless possibilities for game play.

Super Mario 3D World
– Mario and friends come to life in 3D in this action-packed game as Bowser invades the peaceful Sprixie Kingdom. It’s up to Mario and his friends to rescue the Sprixies through a vast new kingdom. The graphics look incredible and parents will love playing alongside children as they see their favorite characters from childhood revisited in 3D graphics.

Nintendo5
Mario Kart 8 – Playing Mario Kart on Super NES proved one of our favorite challenges back in the day. Now the game gets re-imagined and better than ever. Racers zoom underwater, in the sky, and sync up with your favorite amiibo figurines if you want. Favorite levels like the Rainbow Road and Bowser’s Castle come back in this game and seem better than ever. Play with your WiiU game pad or with a wheel controller.

Nintendo6Amiibo figurines – Nintendo offers a slew of Nintendo Amiibo figurines that are compatible with WiiU and Nintendo 3DS XL games to enhance and unlock your gaming experience. Choose from Mario to Princess to Donkey Kong to Link from Zelda to Yoshi – or all of the above! These serve as great collectors’ items and characters compatible in any games work with amiibos regardless if the character “lives” in that game or not.

Whether you want to throw a bundle of yarn with Yoshi, explore a personally-created kingdom with Mario, or zip around on the infamous rainbow road, your entire family will love these new games offered by Nintendo.

To learn more about the games we described above, please visit the nintendo site here. According to the Nintendo site, the prices of the games described above range from $49.99-$59.99.

Now please excuse us – we want to get back to try to beat our high score!
