As a longtime vegetarian, I love fresh fruits and vegetables and incorporating as many types of fresh, healthy and hearty produce as I can into each meal and snack. I enjoy delicious fruits and vegetables in the form of a cold-pressed juice as often as I can. Many retailers sell fresh juice near my office and apartment, but often for the hefty price tag of $9 to $12 a glass. The convenience of being able to make a fresh juice at home when craving a glass saves both time and money, and I am so excited to have found a product that allows me to produce high-quality, nutrient-dense juice and other fresh fruit and vegetable products – the Champion Juicer
This juicer really lives up to its name – other home juicers proved not as fast, efficient, or versatile as this product. The juicer features a powerful motor that quickly and easily transforms your product into delicious, refreshing juice. I was impressed with the speed with which it juiced both watery vegetables and fruits like cucumbers and celery, and those tougher leafy greens like spinach and kale.
For my first juice using the Champion Juicer, I combined two small jazz apples, one lime, five stalks of celery, one kiwi and half a cucumber. It was a deliciously tart green juice. I could tell that this juicer really helped the vegetables and fruits retain their nutrients as I was so much more full after drinking the juice than when I have made a similar juice using my old centrifugal juicer.
I was really impressed with how easily-cleaned the juicer was after I finished making my juice. You simply unscrew the body and can easily take apart and clean the screen and cutter.
The manual that arrived with the Champion Juicer included several recipes for sherbets, sorbets and ice creams that inspired me to try the juice in homogenizing mode to create a frozen treat. Opting for something a bit simpler, I created a frozen banana whip. I froze one banana and fired up the juicer using the homogenizing body (sold separately for ease of use, or just insert the blank instead of the mesh screen in the traditional body to use it in homogenizing mode). I simply inserted the frozen banana (cut in a few small chunks) and within seconds I had a tasty dessert to enjoy. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to create this gelato-like frozen treat that tasted fresh and pure, made from 100 percent fresh fruit. I can’t wait to experiment with other frozen fruits this summer and experiment with berries and other fruit flavors!
The Champion Juicer can even be used to create fresh homemade hummus and salsas that will prove the hit of your summer entertaining. You can even make your favorite nut butters by adding nuts and oil.
