November marks the beginning of National Diabetes Awareness Month- a perfect time to raise awareness about a disease that affects more than 15,000 US children each year. Type I Diabetes develops in children and young adults and prevents a person’s pancreas from producing insulin, a hormone that enables your body to get energy from food. Difficult to manage, Diabetes requires constant monitoring and influences many aspects of daily life.

Sleepwear manufacturer, Komar, has created a fun way to raise funds to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) through its non-profit foundation, PJs For The Cure, pajama sets that directly benefit the JDRF.  Through this program, Komar will donate 100% of all sales from PJs For The Cure to the JDRF to help fund diabetes research. With styles for both women and children, you can combine philanthropy with holiday gift giving! Komar aims to donate $1 million to the JDRF and they need your help to reach this aggressive, but not impossible goal.

Here's What MotherTalk Bloggers are saying about Komar and PJs For The Cure:

Mommy PR: Did you know, November is National Diabetes Awareness Month and is also typically the month most of us shop for our holiday gifts? Combining holiday shopping with philanthropy is a wonderful way to give back this holiday season and the pjs offered by Komar will make great gifts for the women and kids on your list.

Two Monkeys & a Washtub: Check out all the truly adorable pajamas you can buy for yourself or your children. They would make a nice Christmas gift and you would be helping with your purchase. Help them reach their goal of $1 million to donate to the JDRF.

Musing Maine-iac: Tomorrow is World Diabetes Day. For Christmas this year, think about getting loved ones some pajamas and help find a cure for Diabetes at the same time! 100% of every sale from Pj’s For The Cure will be donated directly to the JDRF to fund further research to find a cure for juvenile diabetes.

Just Another New Blog: Through this program, Komar will donate 100% of all sales from PJs For The Cure to the JDRF to help fund diabetes research. We can help raise awareness about a disease that each year affects more than 15,000 children in the U.S. alone. My personal favorites are the matching mother-daughter PJs – how cute are the Scotty Dog prints? I also love the blue circle print for women, and all kids' PJs are just adorable.

Twofer Mom: Many of us talk about ways to give and one thing we look at is how much of our donation goes to 'administrative costs'. With PJs for the Cure you know that your donation really is going to benefit juvenile diabetes research. You can choose from a variety of fun designs for women, girls and boys pajama sets.

Hip Mamas Place: Still need to find something special for the man, woman, or kid/s in your life this holiday season? You can combine philanthropy with holiday gift giving with the many adorable and comfy cotton pjs from PJs For The Cure!

You Wanna Know What I Think?: Most of us are either done with our Christmas shopping, almost done, or just getting started, but I've recently learned about a great program called PJs For The Cure that is helping Komar reach $1 million dollars to support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. PJs For The Cure offers specially designed women's and children’s pajama sets. 100% of every donation to PJs For The Cure will go directly to JDRF to fund further research to find a cure for juvenile diabetes.

Home Grown Families: They have mother and daughter matching jammies too! This year instead of buying Christmas Eve jammies from a local store- shop here now and make a difference!! Or if you would rather just donate, you can do so here. The goal can be reached.

A Mom Less Ordinary: How many of us gift pajamas at Christmas time? I know lots of families, mine included, that do special Christmas Eve presents which include them. Purchasing PJs as gifts from PJs For The Cure provides a unique opportunity to give back. Think of it as two gifts for the price of one: A pajama set for someone you love, plus a donation to a very worthy cause!

24/7 Moms: I love when I find ways to buy and give in the same transaction while shopping. Have you head of PJ's for the cure? You will love this especially if you already buy PJ's each Christmas for your family – Combining holiday shopping with philanthropy is a wonderful way to give back this holiday season and these fun pjs offered by Komar make great gifts for the women and kids on your list.

Mommy Cracked: If you’re still shopping for Christmas gifts for the women and children on your list, these PJs offered by Komar not only make great gifts, but you’ll also feel good about helping a great cause.

Simply Stacie: Check out all the cute pajamas you can buy for yourself or your children. They would make a nice Christmas gift and you would be doing a good deed too with your purchase. Help them reach their goal of $1 million to donate to the JDRF!

Red Sox Mommy: Sleepwear manufacturer, Komar, wants to make it fun to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). How are they doing this? With their non-profit foundation PJs For The Cure. When you purchase pajamas through this foundation 100% of the profits go to benefit JDRF. They make both women's and children's styles and these pajamas make perfect holiday gifts this chilly winter season. Komar has a BIG goal to donate $1 million to JDRF so every sale helps!
