Finding Your Perfect Swimsuit with Lands End at a Swim Style Sessions in a City Near You!

Memorial Day is just around the corner, signifying the unofficial start to summer. We at Mom Central are looking forward to spending time near the water with our friends and families – whether that be at the beach, in the community pool, or on our highly anticipated vacations!

Lands End is making it very easy to kick off our summer swim season in style by launching the Lands End Getaway tour at cities throughout the nation. To get you in full beach mode, the “Swim Truck” will feature a Traveling Beach House, where you can relax among sand dunes and on an upper sun deck. Lands End swimsuit experts will offer professional swimsuit fittings and share advice on how to measure for the perfect fitting swimsuit. Kendall Farr, fashion stylist, top-selling author and Glambassador from Glamour will be on hand for interviews about the latest swimsuit trends and style solutions.

For those of us who cannot attend the regional events, Lands End offers a Swim Guide online, which helps you pick out suits based on your specific body type. I shopped for two suits in the “Flatter Tummy” category (something I certainly don’t mind my swimsuits doing!) and was very pleased with the results.

The Leaf Grecian one-piece suit (shown above) was one of our favorites. The beautiful white, blue and black color combination was beautiful and reminds us of the colors of summer. The suit’s Slendertex material provides a slimming fit, which definitely works to flatten the tummy and complements natural curves. We also love the “V” insert material over the bust, which provides a bit of added coverage for those of us with larger chests, or who don’t want to reveal too much with a lower-cut suit.

We absolutely loved the Watercolor Floral Draped Sweetheart one-piece suit, too! It’s so flattering on the figure and the bright pink and purple colors really pop as mixed with the black accents. We also love the crisscross shirring below the shoulders, which really enhances the top half of the suit and neckline, leaving a beautiful silhouette and creating a very elegant look. This is definitely a suit we will be taking with us on our summer beach and poolside plans. Plus, as promised, this suit definitely was flattering in the stomach with cinched material in all the right areas.
