~ Influence Central received a sample of the Summer Infant Sharp View HD Video Monitor. All opinions are our own.

Summer Infant Sharp View HD Video MonitorI’m a soon-to-be first time Mom, and am stocking up on all the essentials that our newborn daughter could possibly need. I’ve registered for quite a few things from Summer Infant, as I find that their diverse product line fits any baby need, and the quality and price point is great. One of the biggest needs is to be an all-knowing mother with constant eyes on her child. (I’ve been told this isn’t just newborn/new Mom paranoia either!) That’s why I’m so glad that Summer Infant has introduced a new video monitor to market: The Sharp View HD Video Monitor, which has the highest resolution of HD video available today.

In talking with other Moms, and looking into other monitors, I became familiar with the extra features of various monitors, and knew what was a top priority. What I find with the Summer Infant Sharp View HD Video Monitor is that there are plenty of “bells and whistles” without being too complicated. The features are all realistically usable, and nothing takes away from the most important aspect of all – a very clear image of the baby! The high def video and 5” color LCD display are extremely clear and realistic, and the large screen makes it even better. The accompanying camera allows for panning, scanning and zooming so you can see baby from all angles. I also love the automatic night vision, which I didn’t find to be too blurry, which has been the case with other monitors.

The two-way communication function is another feature that I appreciate. Just speak into the handheld monitor and your voice is then projected through the camera. It’s great if you want to send a soothing message to a fussy baby while you are on your way back to their room. There is also a temperature control setting, and I was able to set up an alert to notify me if the temperature in the room changes beyond the pre-selected settings I arranged.

You can add up to three additional cameras to the touchscreen monitor (a total of four) so you can view into more than one room. They are sold separately, and we plan to purchase extras to add to our system.

I would definitely recommend this reliable monitor system for convenience, peace of mind, ease of work, and quality. It’s now available at major retailers where baby products are sold, and can also be purchased directly from the Summer Infant website.
