Make Spring Cleaning a Breeze with the Dyson V6 Animal Cordless Vacuum

At this time or year, many of us start planning out what spring cleaning tasks will take priority once the weather warms up. Tackling clutter often proves the most obvious win, but we mustn’t forget that the springtime sunbeams never fail to illuminate the dust and dirt in our homes – no matter how much purging and organizing we did! And for those of us with pets? Don’t even get us started.

I have long trusted the Dyson brand for cleaning my home, so I was delighted to discover the Dyson V6 Animal Cordless vacuum. I love vacuuming with my large Dyson Animal vacuum, but sometimes there are those “in between” dust or pet hair spots that just need a quick touch up, and after being “spoiled” with the powerful suction with my Dyson DC65 Animal, other smaller cordless tend to disappoint. With the V6 Animal, I know I am getting the power and efficiency of Dyson for tackling those jobs.

The Dyson V6 Animal weighs under five pounds in weight, so I lifted it easily to clean those typically hard-to-clean ceiling vents, and for carrying up stairs. I love how easy it is to maneuver with the lightweight unit and ball technology.

The V6 Animal excels on a number of surfaces. The Direct-drive cleaner head drives bristles deeper into the carpet, and is easy to maneuver with a small Dyson ball for rotation. A mini soft dusting brush allowed me to vacuum dust and small debris from delicate electronics such as my keyboard, while the combination accessory tool proved great for dusting bookshelves and other tricky surfaces. The crevice tool gave me big satisfaction when I vacuumed between the couch cushions!

We love how easy it is to convert to a handheld vacuum. Simply unlatch the wand and plug in one of the other attachments and voila, you have one of the most powerful cordless handhelds you can imagine! For us, this is a huge bonus to this vacuum as we can take it out to the car to tackle the hair on the seats and floors of our vehicle after rides with our dog. This will save us lots of time and money on professional detailing and vacuuming services!

The power with this cordless vacuum is incredibly impressive. Just look at how it picked up the dust in our heater/AC unit when using the V6 Animal one time over the screen.

The V6 Animal even has 75% higher brush power than the previously released Dyson V6, which allows it to better agitate carpet pile and tackle ground-in spills and stains. The motor spins up to 110,000 rpm – generating a truly powerful suction power. It is the only cordless vacuum with a direct-drive motor inside the cleaner head.

The cordless power lasts up to 20 minutes when in regular mode, which is still much more powerful than many other vacuums than I have used in the past. If you have a really tough job, you can increase the power to “MAX” mode.

Storing this powerful vacuum felt almost too easy. You can choose to wall-mount it (a wall mount is included in the packaging), or even store all the components in a tote. I’m using a canvas tote bag to store the motor unit and attachments in my closet, while keeping the wand next to my other brooms nearby.

Like larger Dyson models, this unit includes Dyson’s incredible cyclone technology to increase airflow, which allows the vacuum to capture super-fine dust.

I am lucky enough to already own a Dyson DC65, but for those of you who do not, we would recommend this product as your main vacuum because its power is much stronger than most traditional larger vacuums on the market today.
