We drink a lot of water at our house, which means we need a water filtration system that can stand up to our demand, and not stand empty after it makes it only halfway around the dinner table!

The Mavea’s Elemaris System offers a sleek, reliable, and intelligent design. This water-filtration pitcher looks like a stylish serving piece, begging not to be shoved in the back of your refrigerator, but rather brought to the dinner table for your family and guests to enjoy.

I’ve used other filtration pitchers before, and my least favorite aspect lies in having to refill them by taking the entire system apart. With an automatic pour-through lid, the Mavea leaves no watery mess on your counter, and its Smart Meter status screen right on the lid tells you the condition of the filter.

Another disappointment in other water filtration systems is seeing random tiny black bits in my “filtered” water. Mavea has created a filter with a micro-screen, designed entirely differently than any I’ve seen before. While the Elemaris System recommends filtering a full pitcher prior to drinking. Even in this trial filtration, not a single black speck could be seen.

The filter itself probably proves to be the most important component, removing chlorine taste and odor, organic impurities, heavy metals like mercury and copper, and any pesticides often found in tap water.

Even the set-up made this system desirable. Without any need to pre-soak a filter for activation, I simply took the pitcher out of its box, unwrapped the filter, placed it in the system’s interior, and filled. I was pleased that the XL model I was trying held 9-cups of water, a capacity that’s logical for families and those of us who enjoy drinking water throughout the day.

We can’t stop talking about this pitcher at Mom Central, because its ease, design, and its elegant purple color (which we’re partial to!) all appealed to us. Also available in orange, white, black, and red, the Mavea Elemaris Water Filtration Pitcher comes in both a Kompakt 5-cup capacity and the XL model we used.

The Mavea Elemaris XL Water Filtration Pitcher is available at Amazon, Bed, Bath & Beyond, and other stores near you for $34.99. Find out more information and locate this product at Mavea’s website.
