Lands' End slingbacks[1]Whether traveling by land or by air, travel always feels so much more pleasant when I do not over-pack! Although always tempting to pack more than enough outfits and be prepared for any accessorizing occasion, I made it a goal to pack less and be smarter about the items I put in my suitcase – both to cut down on how much I tote around with me, and to save airline baggage fees and space in the trunk!

Without fail, my packing “Achilles’ heel” (pun intended) proves to be shoes. Wedges, sandals, flip flops, sneakers and more not only frustratingly require too much space in my bag, but I also find that I don’t wear nearly all the pairs I bring with me!

I was excited to discover two pair of extremely versatile shoes from Lands’ End that help help me cut down on my suitcase contents during trips this summer.

Water ShoeFor a shoe that easily transitions from day to night adventures, the Presley Mid Wedge Slingback Sandal proves comfortable enough to shop in and explore, while looking fabulous with evening attire. The black and taupe color combination is perfectly neutral to match any look in my suitcase. The sandal offers a 2 3/4” heel with a 3/4” wedge, and the cushioned footbed allows for easy strolls for hours on end. The 100 percent cotton canvas upper keeps this shoe light and breathable, ideal for summer heat no matter the destination.

The newly redesigned water shoes from Lands’ End helps keep the sand out – ideal for walks along the beach, boat trips, or even hiking a waterfall. I love the Sail Blue color – it’s bright, cute, and reminds me of summer! These shoes feature superior draining power with holes both in the mesh and in the soles, meaning drier feet – faster. I experience no feeling worse than walking around in wet sneakers, so these water shoes will prove a lifesaver for some of my upcoming summer adventures. Plus, they look so fashion-forward and versatile that I can really wear them as a walking shoe and sneaker even when out of water. I love the sole made of durable rubber because my footing feels secure with enough support to feel comfortable walking on uneven surfaces.
