After our first review of the TakeYa Iced Tea System, the product became a necessity at the Mom Central office. With fresh-brewed iced tea every day, we have battled the humidity and heat of the Boston summer with a variety of delicious flavors. This summer, TakeYa offers two delicious tastes in Hibiscus Pomegranate and Tropical Black Iced Tea.

We already know that TakeYa has delicious flavors and a unique, quick way to brew iced tea. This summer, TakeYa offers us an experience, providing ideas for DIY recipes and other adorable ways to make your iced tea even better on those hot days at home.

One of the yummiest recipes that Takeya offers is for an apricot Bellini. Using a tea packet of Takeya’s tropical black flavor, apricot nectar, apricots, and champagne, take your tea to the next level and make a fruity and refreshing summer beverage. I absolutely love champagne and jump at the opportunity to make any day a special occasion, and with Takeya’s iced teas, champagne becomes one of our favorite summer drinks.

Takeya Flash Chill Iced Teas
While the adults sip on champagne cocktails, Takeya has not forgotten about the little ones running around in the backyard. With temperatures rising to their highest in July and August, sometimes it takes more creativity to get our children to stay hydrated. With Takeya’s instructions to make floral ice cubes, staying hydrated is encouraged by an incredibly cool craft that both you and your child can enjoy.

These floral infused ice cubes add a burst of the garden to each glass. Get outside with your kids and encourage them to pick the prettiest flowers and the freshest mint for awesome ice cubs that keep your tea chilled, colorful, and full of flavor.

Apricot Bellini

Ingredients:

  • 1 TAKEYA Tropical Black Tea Packet
  • 10 ounces water
  • 3 3/4 cups apricot nectar
  • 3 apricots, pitted and sliced into ½ inch pieces
  • Ice
  • Champagne or substitute sparkling water for a mocktail!

Directions:

  1. PREP – Tear open one TAKEYA Tropical Black Tea Packet, pour tea into Tea Infuser and twist into lid.
  2. BREW – In medium pot, mix water and apricot juice and heat to a boil, cool for 1 minute and fill the pitcher halfway. Lower the lid with attached Tea Infuser into the hot water, allowing steam to vent, and brew for 5 minutes. Remove the lid and detach Tea Infuser.
  3. FLASH CHILL – Fill ¾ of the way full with ice, seal lid and shake for 30 seconds to flash chill.
  4. ADD FRUIT FLAVOR – Twit the Fruit Infuser into the Infuser Extender and add sliced apricots. Twist the Fruit Infuser into the lid, lower it into the iced tea and seal airtight. Infuse in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.
  5. ADD CHAMPAGNE – When ready to serve, fill each glass with 4 oz of the iced apricot and tropical black tea. Top off with champagne, or turn this sip into a mocktail and top off with sparkling water.
