Keep Track of Your Pet with Petcube

Pets are an important part of many families. Since adopting my dog, Rayna, she’s become an integral part of my life. Every day, I look forward to returning home from work and being greeted by Rayna carrying one of her favorite toys and wagging her tail, which she’s naturally done since she came into our lives! Rayna is a rescue whippet mix, and living with a family that loves her and gives her attention has made such an impact on her disposition.

I recently discovered a fantastic product and service that helps me stay connected to Rayna all day long: Petcube!

With Petcube, I can watch streaming video of Rayna’s activity throughout the day, and capture some of her cutest moments using the camera – which I can share on Petcube’s public feed or with my friends and family who use the app. I can also get notifications when my friends share their Petcube photos so I don’t miss any adorable animal photos from their favorite furry friends.

As an afternoon pick-me-up, I love that I can scroll through other users’ favorite photos and videos – because who doesn’t want to look at adorable animals while you’re waiting for the bus or the elevator?

Another of Petcube’s fun features is the 5mW 3R class laser, which is certified and safe. You can actually play games remotely with your pet, directing the laser around the room for a fun game of chase.

Much to my dismay, Rayna didn’t seem to notice the laser, or at least get excited about it! When my cat was alive, however, he would have gone nuts for it, as he loved games of chase! There’s also a two-way audio connection, so you can hear if your pet is barking, or grab their attention by calling their name through the phone.

Petcube is compatible with both Android and iOS phones, which is important to me as an Android user. There’s even an app for AppleWatch! Wouldn’t it be terrific to watch your pet directly from your wrist?

Petcube holds true to its name – it’s a sleek, four-inch-by-four-inch cube that houses a strong 138-degree wide-angle camera and streams HD 720p video. Therefore this powerful camera seamlessly fits in your home without being a distraction to your room décor. It weighs just over a pound and connects easily to your home WiFi network. I positioned mine on a shelf in the corner of the living room, so I have a great view of Rayna while she’s napping on her dog bed during the day!
