As we move toward full-scale back-to-school season, kids soon will begin more traditional, in-class academics. Yet another approach to learning takes place each week on Pierce’s Scaly Adventures, a television show where the Curren family interacts with some of the most exotic animals in America.

Inspired by their son’s love for all things reptile, the Currens – son Pierce, Mom Tanya, and Dad Rick – decided to share that passion with kids across the country and launched Pierce’s Scaly Adventures. The show offers educational information on a variety of animals, their habitats, and conservation-related issues, while also showing how much we can learn by simply getting outdoors.

For Season Two, the Currens worked with the American Eagle Foundation, a bee farm, and even with the K-9 Unit at their local police station. By showcasing how important these different animals are to our surroundings and our lives at home, the show inspires the audience to get outside and learn.

It also proves an engaging way to teach kids about reptiles, and watching a family enjoy these outdoor adventures together will have you looking for ways to experience the world around you each weekend.
