Skating to Olympic Gold with a Little Help from P&G

Odds are, you most likely have a product in your home from the P&G family and don’t even realize it. Those tissues you are using this winter, the nail polish on your fingers, the fabric softener for your dryer, and even the batteries in your remote control. What you probably don’t know is that P&G is a sponsor of moms, families, athletes and youth sports around the globe as a proud sponsor for the upcoming Winter Olympics!

The message P&G is sending to children and future athletes is that dreams do come true. With some hard work, determination and a lot of support and encouragement from family, future athletes are able to reach Olympic gold! The road to one’s dream can be a very discouraging one, but with a little pick me up from mom, anything is possible.

The U.S. Ice Skating Championships come to Boston

When the U.S. Ice Skating Championships came to Boston recently, I was beyond thrilled to be invited to attend. How exciting to watch Olympic hopefuls skate for the chance to reach for the stars in Sochi, Russia! I took my nine-year-old daughter and her friend to watch ice skating history in the making. The skaters were so glamorous gliding across the ice. We saw first hand the higher than highs and the lower than lows the skaters experience with every spin, turn and flip.

We also had the opportunity to stop by the P&G pop-up salon and get a tiny glimpse of what it takes to get “ice-ready.” The girls had their hair and makeup done using P&G products: Pantene, COVERGIRL, and Olay, and were even able to pose for a photo in a skating top.

So, when you are watching the Olympics in a couple of weeks, make sure your DVRs are set and prepare to #passthepuffs! It is sure going to be a great, emotional ride. GO USA!!!
