Skylanders Trap Team is the newest Skylander game which has new characters, new villains, and many more awesome additions. One of the awesome additions is the Trap Crystals which allow you to trap bosses. The bosses must be trapped in a crystal that matches their element. Once the boss is trapped you can play as him or her for a limited amount of time. Once that time is up then that creature will be teleported away and you will resume playing as your Skylander or Trap Master. Once a villain is caught, it’ll be caught forever and you can catch multiple villains of the same element in the same trap.

In Skylanders Trap Team there are, of course, new characters because in every Skylanders game there’s always a new kind of character. In Skylanders Trap Team you get Trap Masters. Trap Masters allow you to trap the villains and you must have a trap master on the portal in order to trap the villains. The Trap Masters do more damage and are bigger than the regular Skylanders figures (though not as big as Skylanders Giants!) and each element has two trap masters. Another new addition is that the characters are really well sculpted in the game and the actual toys. This new look makes the game much more enjoyable and realistic.

Skylanders Trap Team 2
The game Skylanders Trap Team comes with a Traptanium portal. When you first see the portal, you will notice it has a little black prison on the side that has a little hexagon in the center. That hexagon is how you trap or play as villains. You insert your Trap Crystal into the hexagon and capture the defeated villain. Once the villain is trapped you can hear him or her talking in the prison attached to the portal!

The game also comes with a Skylander and one Trap Master. The Skylander’s name is Food Fight. He’s a life element that shoots tomatoes at people. His upgrades are very unique and funny as well. The Trap Master’s name is Snap Shot, he is one of the water element Trap Masters. He’s armed with a bow and can also use his arrows as a sword which can be very handy. Skylanders Trap Team also comes with two traps: a water trap and a life trap. In the first level you can trap both a life and a water element villain, which is nice.

The game adds many new things to the fun of the other Skylanders games, like the Chaos challenges. Chaos challenges are extreme challenges where you have to defend yourself through a certain amount of enemy waves. In these challenges, you have a turret that relates to the element of your figure. As the waves progress, your turret will level up and will do more damage and give you more health. After you complete three waves your turret will be at its max level.

Skylanders Trap Team continues the Skylander story with the same humor and game play that I loved about the other Skylanders games. But the thing that I like most is the amount of creativity and customization found in all of the Skylanders games. We have lots of other Skylanders characters in my house from the first Skylanders to Giants to Swap Force and all of the data in those characters transfers over to Skylanders Trap Team! For example, if you play as a character wearing a hat from a different game then that hat will automatically be unlocked in Skylanders Trap Team. It’s fun to play my characters from other Skylanders game in these new worlds!

I suggest this game to anyone who likes collecting toys and playing fun video games as Skylanders Trap Team is fun for all ages.
