Staying Cool with Hot Trends from Lands’ End This Summer

Lands End Summer 02 With summer peeking from just around the corner, we couldn’t be more excited! While looking forward to spending time outdoors and taking part in our favorite recreational activities, surviving the heat in comfort while still looking cool often eludes us!

Fortunately Lands’ End designed some great pieces with style and comfort in mind that will help us sizzle (the good kind!) in the summer heat!

Perfect for the office, or a garden party or after-work cocktail, we love this Ponte Keyhole Sheath Dress in Juniper. The floral pattern proves sophisticated yet playful enough for summer. SO comfortable, this dress can be easily machine-washed for easy wear and repeat! I love the fact that it has well-concealed pockets that can easily store our favorite must-haves from keys to cell phones to lip gloss.

It’s beautiful on its own, or pairs well with a light summer sweater!

For a more casual look, we love these chino shorts with 5” inseam. The Compass Red color stood out to me right away, as a bright way to match with our favorite reds, whites and blues (I think I will be wearing these for the Fourth of July!), and I also love pairing red with black and have so many black tops that need a bit of color to make them summer appropriate!

The length of the shorts is perfect – just enough to offer enough coverage for me, while still looking cute and fashionable. These shorts are incredibly comfortable too – sturdy, yet soft-to-the-touch material.

It would look great at the office, but proves breathable and casual enough to be worn with shorts or jeans for a more casual occasion, too. For those chillier nights, we love layering your favorite Lands’ End tank with this Cable Pointelle sweater. The boatneck and pointelle stitching add a delicate touch, making this a great sweater for summer when others might feel a bit too heavy. The alternating rows of cable and pointelle make a beautiful pattern all on their own.
