Traveling with young children can require some advanced planning and forward-thinking solutions, but thanks to the Stokke Flexi Bath, it no longer will cause us stress associated with finding a convenient, sanitary bathtub with our little ones. Many moms are realizing the challenges associated with some of today’s stand-up “spa-like” showers, which have replaced the traditional bathtub in some of our home bathrooms and while traveling.

The Stokke Flexi Bath is sturdy, stable and certainly easily collapsible. The plastic is very thick and the rubber lining is flexible while durable. This tub is worth having on hand whether used for one’s own children or for hosting friends with children. There is plenty of room to play with toys without them floating away in an adult size tub. And because it doesn’t take up much room, about as much room as a folded Beach Blanket, it is easy to tuck in a side closet until needed.

When the tub unfolds it doesn’t lay flat but as you fill it with water to the fill line (that is marked with a whale and ocean waves) it does flatten out.  The stopper is made of sturdy rubber and seals the hole very well. The tub is just as easy to flip over and empty as it is to unplug the stopper in the bottom.  Leave it upside down leaning inside the tub to air dry.

As with any baby tub that is sitting inside of an adult tub, the adult tub stopper should be open in order to allow for any water to drain.
The Stokke Flexi Bath tub will be great to use outside when the weather warms up with an outdoor shower setup or just for cooling down on a hot day.

My sister-in-law tested out the Stokke Flexi Bath with her four-month-old son, who loved bath time in this tub! We suggest purchasing the additional infant insert, great for any babies who are not able to sit without assistance. We didn’t have this on hand, so instead, she put a towel on the bottom to help keep baby from slipping as she put her arm around him to hold him up to bathe him.  He was able to recline with assistance a little bit more in this tub and was giggling because he was able to kick and splash.
