Disclosure: We received a sample of Tide purclean™ to facilitate our review. All opinions are our own.

Tide has taken an eco-friendly step by launching its first bio-based detergent – Tide purclean™. The product is 65 percent bio-based, which means that its ingredients come from plants, marine, forestry, or other agricultural sources. Bio-based products provide a renewable alternative to traditional, petroleum-based ingredients.

Prior to trying Tide purclean™, I found myself leaning toward laundry pod products. With my new Twin-Lite machine, which washes a smaller load, sometimes the pods don’t fully dissolve, and I love that I now have an alternative to the blue, sticky liquid detergents that I previously used.

Tide purclean™ pours steadily into the cap, without that seemingly inevitable drip and spillage that I found with traditional liquid detergents.

The product is available in a Honey Lavender scent, which I pleasantly found to be rather faint as I don’t like overwhelming laundry scents for my clothes.

Best of all, this detergent offers the cleaning power of tide, providing outstanding stain removal, whiteness, color care and more, and is HE-Compatible to work with all machines.

Tide purclean™ is available in 50 and 75 oz. sizes, with suggested pricing of $11.99 and $17.99, respectively. Find yours at Target today.
