Fall is one of my favorite times of the year to cook. So many delicious flavors abound and vegetables come to harvest. It’s also a very colorful time of year to experiment adding more fresh vegetables into your meals.

We discovered some helpful kitchen tools that empower us to incorporate more vegetables (and their subsequent vitamins and nutrients) into our daily meals, and we are eager to share our top picks!

One of our favorite tips for healthy, easy cooking? Steaming vegetables for warm, satisfying menu accompaniments.

The Circulon Hard-Anodized Nonstick 3-Quart Covered Saucepot with Steamer Insert is an ideal tool for the at-home chef. We love the heavy-duty feel of the saucepot, which heats evenly and releases food quickly and easily on nonstick raised circles for easy cleanup.20190928_140810

This product is oven-safe up to 350 degrees, and is stovetop-suitable for gas, electric and electric ceramic burners.
We love this product’s versatility, and have used the saucepot alone for making delicious sauces and stews. The steamer insert is perfect when making a vegetable-rich pasta – we steamed a few leafy greens in the steamer basket before adding them to the pot.

20190928_140720Like other pieces in the Circulon collection, it offers a hassle-free lifetime guarantee!

20190930_130518If you’re into a splash of beautiful teal in your kitchen like I am, you may love the new Create Delicious collection from Rachael Ray. She also features a three-piece steamer in her lineup. This product is great if you don’t have as much vertical space in your cabinet or pantry for a steamer set, as it is not as tall as other three-quart steamer models. For me, it fits perfectly in my lazy Susan for easy storage.

The induction-su20190917_131803btle base features a stainless steel plate for maximum durability. This product is oven safe all the way up to 400 degrees! I know a few of my favorite recipes call for 400 degree cook temperature, so this is a great feature for this set.

I loved steaming kale with a small amount of herbs and olive oil for some delicious flavor without a high calorie intake. Steaming frozen or fresh broccoli is another favorite to add on the side of our favorite proteins.

Cleanup with this product is easy, as the steamer insert and sauteuse are both dishwasher safe.

One of my favorite products that has helped me maximize my veggies intake this fall is the versatile Rachael Ray box grater.

20190817_130709The blades are ultra sharp and effective in cutting, two-way slicing, and julienning. I have used the product to julienne radishes to top my salads, to shredding zucchini to use for veggie quesadillas The vegetables you are slicing or dicing collect in the unit, so you can easily scoop them out and add them to your dish. The product truly makes the process so easy that I find myself utilizing more vegetables than I had in the past in salads and other recipes. An added benefit is that the julienned vegetables add to the look of your dish, making it appear more streamline and professional!
