This picture book takes kids on a fast journey to meet an eclectic group of inspirational people from history, ranging from Amelia Earhart to Albert Einstein to Jane Goodall. Each person offers up their own poem of first person, inspirational advice based on personal experience. And so Amelia Earhart advice includes, “And I hope you remember that the greatest fight you’ll ever take is the one no one has tried before.” Einstein muses, “Curiosity is one of the most powerful forces of nature.” Marie Curie shares, “To forge your own path you have to be daring.”
This is a book meant to be read along with your child, so you can fill in the blanks about what each person achieved and why it mattered so much. Great fodder for inspiring conversations, to which you can add the level of detail and sophistication that will most resonanate with your early school child.
