Disclosure: Mom Central received a Dash Chef Series Premium Digital Blender to facilitate this review.

We recently discovered a product that really helps us “do it all” in the kitchen – the Dash Chef Series Premium Digital Blender.

This premium blender helps you craft everything from velvety soups, smoothies, dips, ice cream, baby food, sauces and more. The blender’s design and features make it very easy for even the most amateur at-home chefs to create delicious food from scratch. This product is a blender and food processer all-in-one, and its powerful motor allows you to deliver meals, drinks, and snacks quickly.

Dash makes it easy to measure and combine fresh ingredients. The two-liter blender jug features measuring marks that make it possible to follow recipes with the ease of one-stop measuring. Six preset functions on the blender (including puree, crush, frozen, soups, and more) guide users through the blending process. To get you started with this new product, the site offers recipe examples and suggestions.

We put the blender to the test, using its various preset functions. I first tried the Berry Mango Greek Yogurt Smoothie that I read about on the Dash website. I combined Greek yogurt, frozen mangos and berries along with some orange juice (I tried it again substituting orange juice for soy milk for more of a milkshake taste!). The blender turned the frozen fruits into a delicious, smooth beverage in just under 30 seconds.

Next up was the Fresh Asparagus Soup. I thought this might be a bit more of a challenge than the smoothie, but it was absolutely seamless to make. I simply cooked a pound of asparagus for five minutes, then placed the vegetables directly in the blender with broth, lemon juice, almonds and mint. I used the “soup” function, which pureed the ingredients and heated the soup. I topped the soup with almonds and fresh pepper, and have to say this one of the best soups I have ever had. It tasted so fresh, healthy and hearty!  I can’t wait to try making fresh tomato basil soup next.

Other treats you can make using the Dash Chef Series Premium Digital Blender include guacamole, oatmeal, Italian Ice and more.
