Days, weeks, and months speed by for moms. With not enough hours in a day, we notoriously prioritize ourselves last on the lengthy, never-ending “to do” list of life. But soon, our knees creak as we climb the stairs, we become out of breath bringing the groceries in from the car, and our business suits don’t fit as flatteringly as they once did. Before we run out and buy a gym membership we might quickly lose interest in, we browse the Web and poll our friends, for a better way to get into shape. We seek an affordable, convenient and effective solution, finally committed to making our happiness, health and well being a priority.

Answering the call, fitness guru Michelle Austin created Fluidity, a barre fitness system designed to give us a total body workout like no other. Dancers don’t dance their way to a beautiful body. They develop strength, proportion and flexibility using a wall-mounted ballet bar and their own body weight. The Fluidity Barre helps strengthen our bodies and increases our flexibility, improving our health and fitness with as little as thirty minutes each time for just twice a week.

The Ultimate Fluidity Barre System comes with the Fluidity Barre, three instructional DVDs to follow along with, an exercise ball, a pump, two resistance bands, an owner’s manual, and a healthy eating guide. The Fluidity Barre takes little effort to set up and can be folded and tucked away in a closet when not in use.

Exercisers can enjoy three levels of difficulty: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. When testing the Fluidity Barre at Influence Central, we tried exercises from all three levels, and found that the beginner exercises quite easy to perform, with the difficulty increasing appropriately from there. However, if you follow and work out with the program consistently, you should have no problem moving from beginner to intermediate, and finally to advanced. One of the most challenging exercises for us was the Flat Back, in which you line your back against the backboard, push up on the barre, then lift your legs up for a few sets of the “scissors” exercise. And let me tell you, we felt the burn in our legs after just a few reps (let alone sets . . . yikes!) Though difficult, this move and many others shown in the DVDs expose us to exercises we don’t normally do and push us to work the parts of our bodies we tend to avoid. For example, the Flat Back exercise helps us get the definition in our back, which we don’t usually think about as we go through our normal work out routine. Therefore, the Fluidity exercises can be extremely benefiting, pushing us to strengthen new muscles and tone different areas of our bodies, with each exercise becoming easier with practice.

Combining Pilates and ballet moves to help develop strength and improve our flexibility proves Fluidity’s unique niche. The perfect solution for anyone who doesn’t have as much time to get to the gym or no longer enjoys running on the treadmill or using dumbbells. Even better, those of us committed to the program can get that dancer’s body we’ve always wanted, right in the comfort of our homes. You don’t need to know a lot about exercising before using Fluidity; it’s for anyone who wants to feel better and healthier. The exercises help to transform our bodies without being too strenuous, so it’s perfect even for the older moms or moms who haven’t worked out in a while. Just be prepared for a good burn and to feel the difference in your body.

Get your Ultimate Fluidity Barre System at www.fluidity.com for $479.40, if paid in full. Now, if you’re raising your eyebrow just a bit, we’d like to point out that compared to paying for a gym membership or a personal trainer for an extended period of time, Fluidity becomes the smarter option in the long run. Plus, you never even have to get out of your house. So, set your barre high and get working.
