~ Disclosure: We received $100 credit towards shopping on Google Express to facilitate our review. All opinions are our own.
We love a day of shopping when we shop for fun items such as home décor or spending an afternoon with friends on a spree. Shopping for the endless lists of items we need for our families and ourselves doesn’t feel the same. We purchase supplies for our home or necessities for our offices and go to multiple stores to buy everything we need. We lug everything from the stores to our cars and from our cars into our homes. Sometimes Moms accomplish all of this with reluctant kids along for the ride. No wonder we call it “running” errands. This work demands serious, marathon-like stamina!
Now imagine this effortless shopping experience: instead of driving everywhere, hauling products from multiple stores, to your car, and back home, you make your lists and purchase what you need from your computer. The items on your lists – from retailers ranging from department stores to warehouse outlets to specialty retailers to drugstores – get delivered to your door in sturdy-handled, attractive bags, with fragile purchases wrapped to ensure safe arrival. What kind of Magical Wonder Shopping World is this? Google Express makes this fantasy become reality.
We used Google Express for the first time to purchase items we needed to replenish our medicine cabinet and bathroom. We specified certain brands we wanted and for others, we let our shopper choose the least expensive brand. One brand-specific item we wanted needed to be ordered at another time. (We knew we would be shopping again soon – no problem!) Our items arrived later that same day, right at our front door. Since we enjoy membership to Google Express and we ordered over $15 worth of items, our delivery cost us nothing. And our own car remained in the garage because we never left home. What a treat!
Since we ordered a flat of waters, we knew we would bring this heavy item inside. What a surprise to find useful handles attached to the sides to help us – Google Express thought of everything! We shopped with ease and brought things into our home with ease as well.
After our first experience with Google Express, we thought of all the ways we could use it again. When throwing a party, forgotten items ordered the morning of the party could save a last-minute trip to the store. When arriving home from a trip, shopping for items while waiting at baggage claim or sitting in a long car ride could help the re-entry process. Another helpful feature: once you order an item it remains on your list to make selections easier in the future. Restocking your shelves becomes a simple process.
Thanks to the system remembering orders from the past, buying the staples of your family could even become the responsibility of kids in your home. Take out the trash on Monday, walk the dog every day, create the list of items we need for the house to be delivered every other Thursday. Think of the possibilities!
Our experience with Google Express put more time back in our day and left us wanting to shop this way again. We shop from home, we get items delivered, we save time and best of all, Google Express eliminates the lugging around in our life. We hope you find it as game-changing as we did!
Membership to the service costs $95 per year, or $10 per month. Google Express currently offers service to select cities and regions, and delivery times and store offerings can vary.
