Cheers to 100 Years with Star Market!

Going grocery shopping with Mom was always memorable. The challenge of sneaking a special treat into the cart along the way, the excitement of walking down aisles lined with goodies and picking out our favorite brands, and taking in all of the bright, beautiful colors of the local produce. If we were lucky, maybe Mom let us sit in the cart for a portion of the shopping trip. These special memories and traditions are things we cherish, and strive to create and pass along to our own little ones as the years go by.

We can all agree that long-standing traditions are tried-and-true, and bring out the best in what local communities have to offer. That same principle applies to the Star Market family of grocers, who have been supplying Greater Boston and the surrounding areas with quality food for 100 years! 2015 marks the celebration of a century of commitment to quality products, friendly service, dedicated employees and being Greater Boston’s Favorite Local Supermarket.

When a company has been around for 100 years, they have to be doing something right!

To celebrate, Star Market has scheduled some amazing events and festivities centered around their 100^th Anniversary! Beginning in July and extending through the end of the year, Star Market will celebrate its anniversary by offering exciting flashback offers, and fun events that feature Star Market employees and local community partners. Included in the festivities are celebrations, family fun events and promotions.

We were fortunate to share in Star Market’s kick-off event of their 100^th Anniversary celebrations, with a movie night at the Prudential Center in Boston this past weekend! We sampled scrumptious organic salsa, and posed for a few photos with some of their creative signage! We love their motto of ‘My Boston. My Star Market,’ because it highlights the importance of local businesses and patrons together helping unify communities, and promoting beloved, historic traditions.
