Samsung Announces Its Most Powerful Tablet Yet with the Galaxy Tab S2

Just in time for back-to-school (and to inspire upcoming holiday wish lists!), Samsung’s latest innovation join its line of premium tablets. Available in 8” and 9.7” sizes, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 ascents to the position of flagship tablet in Samsung’s popular lineup. The most powerful tablet yet from Samsung, this agile little number also boasts being the thinnest and the lightest tablet to-date.

Ultra lightweight, at only 9.4 oz and 13.8 oz, respectively, as someone who purchased a first generation tablet about five years ago, I’m amazed to see how much has changed – both in size, speed, and overall performance. Different from its predecessor in the Galaxy Tab S family, this model offers a 4:3 aspect ratio based on user feedback so screen size proves ideal for reading books and gaming.

Both Galaxy Tab S2 models fit comfortably in one hand, great for reading on the tablet, streaming video content, or gaming. Perfect for sitting on the couch reading or playing games, and for travel, as it adds virtually no weight to your bag when carrying it with you.

If you love watching video content on your tablet, let Samsung’s Super AMOLED screen impress you when it produces some of the richest, brightest images you’ve seen in technology today (I love this technology on my Galaxy S6 phone!).

The Galaxy Tab S2 offers Side Sync technology, allowing conversations from messaging apps on your phone to appear on the tablet, even if the devices are in different rooms. I find this to be extremely convenient when I have the phone charging someplace else.

We can assign multiple users to the tablet with their own logins via Multi User mode, so if we want to keep our apps and content separate from those other family members, it proves very easy to do. The tablet offers an easy one-touch fingerprint sensor to unlock the device and get us to our apps and content quickly.

Never again fight about who’s watching what on the TV – the Galaxy Tab S2 allows users to stream content directly from a compatible Samsung TV, even when the TV is turned off.

The tablet truly allows multi-tasking, with features like multi-window and pop-up window. Multi-window allows users to easily split the screen and run two apps simultaneously. With Pop-Up Window, we can quickly switch between multiple apps.

I love that this tablet comes equipped with Microsoft Office Solutions, so we can easily access Excel, PowerPoint, and Word straight from our tablets.
