Disclosure: We received the MightyPack Plus backpack from Speck to facilitate our post. All opinions are our own.
When I went to school, picking out a new backpack proved a crucial back-to-school activity which I loved! As I got older, I transitioned away from backpacks, but after having strained my shoulder muscles from using messenger bags packed with too many heavy electronics, my doctor suggested a return to backpacks was in order.
As someone who used to purse organizers and compartments galore, the idea of putting everything in one, potentially flimsy, backpack, felt a bit unnerving. However, I found the backpack of my dreams with the Speck MightyPack Plus! Speck, the creator of my favorite phone and tablet cases, recently introduced its MightyPack backpack line, designed to protect, organize and mobilize our devices and tech accessories for the ideal on-the-go-experience. The MightyPack Plus is larger than the MightyPack standard size by a few inches, so choose your pack depending on your ideal size.
The MightyPack and MightyPack Plus look very professional. Sometimes when I see adults carrying backpacks, I feel they can look a bit juvenile with their packs (even you, Mr. Businessman!) The Speck backpack looks sleek, chic, and functional – no matter our age or profession.
The pack’s “Tech Locker” is constructed of a tough, molded EVA foam liner with a plush vegan fur that prevents scratches and scuffs. Smart compartments flex to fit small or large accessories and feature a pass-through slot for easy laptop or tablet charging.
I love the front pocket, ideal for headphones – allowing for protection with easy access. Another favorite feature proves the padded laptop sleeve, eliminating the need to pack a separate sleeve in the bag to protect your computer.
The expandable pockets accommodate any devices you want to take with you, from GoPros to tablets to notebooks. There is even a pass-through spot to allow us to feed you wire from a portable battery pack through to where the devices are stored. I enjoyed the handy “sunglass stash” which quickly and easily stored my sunglasses on the go! The bag stores up to 15” laptops.
Another huge travel perk? MightyPack Plus is TSA-compatible and opens flat for easy checkpoint screening. When unzipped, there is no need to remove your laptop from your bag.
The cushioning that is against your back feels very plush and comfortable. The straps are light but offer a nice cushioning to support the pack as well.
The MightyPack comes with a two-year warranty – as Speck truly stands behind the protection offered by its products!
Because this product is from Speck, I had no doubts about the level of protection it offers tech devices. A triple-layer foam base protects your electronics if the backpack is dropped.
