A Diaper Bag with Function and Fashion Cred: HAPP

Last fall, I attended the ABC Baby and Kids Expo in Las Vegas. As a mom and a writer, visiting this show proves one of the more fun perks of the job — an inside look at what is going to be flying off the shelves over the next year — the latest and greatest toys, gear, and tools, for kids and babies. I love finding hidden gems at these shows, and giving readers a sneak peek at a few up close!

A new diaper bag by HAPP Brand immediately caught my eye. Beautiful and totally functional — I spent an embarrassing amount of time exploring these bags at the booth. The fabrics and patterns look so original, yet completely on-trend.

HAPP launched last year when the founder, Leah Huang, an art-school alum, was shopping for a diaper bag as a baby shower gift. She quickly recognized the need for a functional diaper bag that also had fashion appeal (amen, sister!).

Just in time for a little spring wardrobe upgrade, I was offered a HAPP bag to try! It took me hours to decide which was right for me — take a look at the site and you will see what I mean. The week I received the bag I was taking off on a business trip, so I decided to give it the ultimate test of diaper bags — to use it in a professional setting. So, I stuffed it full with my laptop, notebook and the rest of my life. There was a compartment for everything — I have never been so organized. And, it looked great. No one could believe my tote was actually a diaper bag!

After the business trip, I switched back to mom-mode and packed the pockets with diapers, wipes, toys and snacks. With seven—yes, seven—exterior pockets—I still had plenty of room to spare for the things I needed to stash.
