Miou Kids Review

I’m a sucker for cute baby clothes. My baby girls are pretty cute, so I take pleasure in showing them off, especially in matching duds. Yes, I’m that mom. I know they will only be little for a short time, so I don’t feel guilty one bit about pushing my adorably dressed daughters on anyone who asks me how I’m doing. Again, I’m THAT mom.

I recently received a few pieces from Miou Kids to check out and try on my girls. Oh. Em. Gee. You want to talk about ridiculously cute and functional clothing? I’m about to give you adorable overload. If you ever need a special gift for a new baby or a wee one’s birthday, check out these impossibly cute knitwear items.

Made from baby alpaca, these sweaters, hats, booties and legwarmers are exceptionally soft. Incidentally, alpaca is stronger than mohair, warmer and softer than sheep wool, an excellent insulator and extremely durable. The elastic fibers will actually stretch as the child grows. It naturally repels water and even has antibacterial properties!

And for all you green moms out there, alpacas are “browsers” meaning they have a very low impact on pastures making this wool one of the most eco-friendly fibers in the world.

Trying Miou Kids on for Size!

But enough about that, look at these designs! Meant to mimic vintage knitwear, these items are like none I’ve ever seen in any retail store. These are special. My little three-month-old, Elli, was very comfortable all day in her plum Bunting Bag. I flipped the hood up for nap time, and she was warm and snug for a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep. The little booties, which match her sweater, kept her feet toasty all day.

The plum Cherie Cardigan on Kaia was comfortable, and soft enough for her to wear all day without complaint (you know how toddlers can be). And the hats! Elli’s Cherie Bonnet is still a bit too big, but I know she will get great use out of it as she grows. Kaia soft grey hat is one she doesn’t complain about wearing.

But just take a look at those pictures – they speak for themselves. Yes, I’m being that mom again!
