The game Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Edition is a very unique game where you can do many things such as play the Avengers level, build a town, create a racetrack and even build your own games.
One of the first things that you will notice about the Marvel pack is that it comes with a clear version of Stark Tower which allows you to unlock an exclusive Avengers level. In this level you will unlock a special vehicle called the SHIELD motorbike. The graphics in the game make the characters look very plastic, like they are toys instead of the more realistic graphics some games have. I personally like this because it gives you a feeling that you’re playing with toys.
The controls are basic and easy to learn because the game starts with a tutorial where you play as a various number of Disney characters such as: Aladdin, Tinkerbell, Merida, and Stitch. Once you complete the tutorial you can play the Avengers level (which is included in the Disney Infinity Marvel pack) or you can play the Toy Box (my personal favorite so far). However, I found on my Xbox360 that some of the scene changes may take a little while to load.
The Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Edition Features: Thor, Iron man, Black Widow, the Avengers Level, the Disney infinity 2.0 disc, two power discs and the Infinity Base. The Avengers level is very well thought out level in which the frost giants have invaded the tower and you need to stop them from terrorizing the tower and the city. I think the Avengers level is a very exciting, action-packed level which even has some Marvel humor from Tony Stark- play the level to see what he says. The characters (Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, and probably anyone else I haven’t experimented yet) are very similar to the characters in the comic books and movies. The characters are programmed to talk to each other occasionally using each other’s names. This amazed me once I first heard it because most games don’t have that sort of creativity.
The Toy Box is one of my favorite features because you can be very creative and build basically anything you can imagine. Building is simple. You can build something like a tree house from scratch and anyone could do it. There is a tutorial that teaches you a bit about how to build and play in the Toy Box. In the Toy Box you have Disney items from a long time ago such as the old Autopia cars which play the old safety message when you ride in them; and you also have newer things such as ships and other items from the Guardians of the Galaxy. Unlocking new achievements in the game or the Toy Box can get you new items in the Toy Box, Also whenever you play as a new character you get a toy box mini townspeople version of that character.
I personally think this is a very good game overall. The only reason we didn’t have Disney Infinity before now was because we thought it would be a lot like Skylanders. We thought it would be similar because you have toys that appear in the game and a base that transports them into the game. But now that we have this, I think Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Edition is a great game because the characters in Disney Infinity are ones that we know and love. With the Disney Infinity characters, you can be creative and the more characters you purchase, the more items you unlock in the toy box and the more adventures you can have.
And now that Disney owns the Star Wars characters, I am just waiting and hoping for the Disney Infinity STAR WARS edition! So Disney Infinity, PPPLLLEEEAAASSSEEE MAKE STAR WARS CHARACTERS!!!
