Beauty Products that Keep our Summer Skin and Hair Healthy

Spending time outdoors in the summer is a given.We love feeling the fresh warm air whether we are strolling in the park or visiting the beach. Where the warmer temperatures certainly lighten our mood, they can also do a number on our hair and skincare routine, and we’ve discovered a few new products this year that have helped us maintain a healthy look all season-long.

For Our Hair:

Infiniti Pro by Conair® Finishing Brush with One ‘n Only® Replaceable Argan Oil Treatment Strip

This brush helps our hair get the ultimate finished look – and very simply! The Infiniti Pro by Conair® Finishing Brush with One ‘n Only® Replaceable Argan Oil Treatment Strip has a built-in argon oil treatment strip. The argon oil offers great benefits like less frizz, more conditioning, and more shine – all by just brushing our hair. I typically blow out my hair with a round brush and then go over it with my favorite straightener from ghd. This brush really helps to make the look smooth.

A tip for care – be careful when putting the plastic covering back over the strip. If you are over-zealous like me, it could potentially break if you are too forceful with it. Luckily you can get replacement strips here.

One ‘n Only Argan Oil Color Oasis Clarifying Shampoo

One ‘n’ Only has created several products that help with our summer hair. There are plenty of products in this line that contain argon oil, which again lead to those great frizz-free benefits! One of our favorite products in this line is the One ‘n Only Argan Oil Color Oasis Clarifying Shampoo. Being out in the sun definitely can affect my highlights, and I tend to color my hair more often in the summertime to combat fading hues. Use this shampoo before you plan to color, as it can help strip away build-up and leave the hair more prone to absorb the new, fresh color.

We wouldn’t dream of skipping conditioner when washing our hair, and it’s even more necessary when sun and frequent dips in the pool or ocean can leave our hair particularly dry. It’s specifically for those of us with color-treated hair, and protects against our heat styling tools, too!

Baby Bliss Pro MiraCurl

I try and embrace my natural waves as much as possible during the summer, and the Baby Bliss Pro MiraCurl leave-in detangler and curl prep is the perfect formula to help. It doesn’t weigh hair down, so curls can maintain their bounce, and I love the boost of moisture it provides. It certainly helps give us beach waves in our hair!

For Our Skin:

Burt’s Bees Brightening Daily Facial Cleanser and Radiance Toner

We can’t forget about keeping our skin feeling fresh, bright and clean in the summer months when we are exposed to more time outdoors and of course are prone to get a bit sweaty. We love the Brightening Daily Facial Cleanser from Burt’s Bees to help our skin feel renewed all summer long. The cleanser uses daisy extract, and has a light floral scent that is not overbearing. I love how rich the cream is. It’s definitely more luxurious to apply than other cleansers I have tried!

We also love Burt’s Bees Radiance Toner. It’s a great way to remove excess dirt and make-up and clear up our pores.

For a finishing touch, we love the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette, which combines our favorite nudes and shimmers in a convenient palate that is easy to store and take with you on the go!
