Capturing Memories Easily with Blinkbuggy

There are so many milestones that we capture as children grow. With the ease of social media and technology at our fingertips, it doesn’t have to only be the “big moments” like first steps, losing that first tooth, or the first day of kindergarten that we are able to easily capture and record.

We recently discovered Blinkbuggy, the easiest and most efficient way to capture and catalog milestones, including the precious every day moments. With Blinkbuggy, parents can take a photo and make notes about the corresponding memory or activity in real time, so as to not forget the funny responses that kids often can have (and surprise us all!) or endearing questions that they ask.

Blinkbuggy was developed by Emma Weisberg after she became a mother, and found herself recording and logging the adorable things her children were saying and doing via emails and photos and cataloguing via keywords. When sharing this with other parents, everyone seemed to have the same reaction – “I need to do that!” And with that, the concept of Blinkbuggy was born, combining the traditional idea of a baby book with the power of social media and technology. Blinkbuggy is currently available as an iPhone and desktop app.

We love that Blinkbuggy allows you to “collect and connect” your memories, by categorizing milestones per child or per theme,  such as a school play, baseball season, vacation, and so on. The app allows for easy and most importantly safe shares with friends and family. The share features are flexible and customizable, so a user can share images from a birthday party with all the parents of the attendees who are using Blinkbuggy, or she can choose to share vacation photos with immediate family only. Users can instantly upload photos from their iPhones, or choose to upload and arrange photos via their desktop, too.

While Blinkbuggy is perfectly designed to capture moments of children as they grow, we also heard some recent examples from users whose parents were using the app to share photos from their wedding and other important family events with their older children and grandchildren as a way to easily categorize and curate their favorite photos and memories.
