Cooling down with a summertime smoothie

I love making smoothies all year round, but on hot summer nights they are simply the perfect treat. When I have a craving for something sweet I’ll mix in some ice, strawberries, bananas, mangoes and whatever other fruit I picked up that week in a blender – and voila! Also, if you find yourself making a lot of smoothies, but don’t have time to pick up fruit as quickly as you eat them, keep a stack of frozen fruits in the freezer.

Mango-Peach Smoothie Recipe

From Allrecipes

Ingredients:

  • 1 peach, sliced
  • 1 mango, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk
  • 1/2 cup orange juice, or as needed

Directions:

  1. Place the peach, mango, soy milk, and orange juice into a blender.
  2. Cover, and puree until smooth.
  3. Pour into glasses to serve.

Can’t get more easy that that! If you’re looking to add some nutritional benefits to your smoothie try adding some flax seed oil.
