Wouldn’t it be nice to serve our children non-GMO, all natural, vegan, gluten- and gelatin-free treats? Too many foods today are overly-processed and filled with harmful, or artificial ingredients. With allergies and food intolerances seemingly at an all-time high, schools restrict snacks from home so as not to put any child at risk. Finally, many families today opt for animal-friendly foods for compassionate reasons, implementing vegetarian or vegan diets. For all these reasons, Chicago Vegan Foods created Dandies Vegan Marshmallows.

DANDIES A HEALTHIER MARSHMALLOW

We love s’mores and Rice Krispies treats at our house, so I thought I’d whip up a healthier version using Dandies Vegan Marshmallows. Most of the time, my savvy family tastes the difference when I swap out unhealthy ingredients with healthier ones, but in this case, they didn’t notice! The Rice Krispies treats were gone in a flash!

Dandies Classic Vanilla Marshmallows are air-puffed to remain true to the consistency and texture of traditional marshmallows, and come in two sizes: the mini size, perfect for warm hot chocolate and making Rice Krispies treats, and the big size, which are great for s’mores. Crafted in a facility that is free of dairy, peanuts, eggs, and tree-nuts, these yummy marshmallows are also free of wheat, gluten and corn.

You can purchase these delicious marshmallows at Whole Foods Market and several natural foods stores across the U.S. and at specific international supermarkets. The standard retail price is $5.29 for a 10 ounce package.
