Disclosure: We were invited as media guests to Wagamama’s Boston Seaport Opening at no cost to us.

On the evening of Tuesday, August 1st, Wagamama hosted an opening event at their new 100 North Avenue location in the Boston Seaport. The restaurant officially opened on Wednesday, August 2nd, but we got a sneak peek of the hot new spot and had a fantastic experience sampling cocktails and signature menu items.

The stunning restaurant conveys a modern, Japanese-chic style. Its spacious area features a bar, a separate juice bar, and an open-style kitchen so you can see into as your food is prepared. Wagamama would prove both great spot for both a Thursday Happy Hour with coworkers, or a Saturday night date.

The incredibly-knowledgeable Wagamama team appeared visibly happy and excited for the opening and made sure guests were beyond satisfied with food, beverage, as well as service. As new guests to the restaurant, we greatly appreciated their friendliness and enthusiasm (not to mention their suggestions for favorite menu items!)

Many classic cocktails appear on the drink menu, all with a ‘Wagamama’ twist—such as the Lemongrass Collins, Ume Cosmopolitan, and the Yuzu Mojito. Bottled and draft beers are also available as well as wines and other spirits. The raw juice bar features healthy options aimed to rejuvenate and to revitalize, such as the Blueberry Spice, made of blueberry, apple, and carrot with a touch of ginger, and the Super Green, an apple, mint, celery, and lime concoction.

The food menu boasts the same homage to traditional dishes also with a ‘Wagamama’ twist. The ebi katsu and the chili squid is crispy, fried perfection, and the duck lettuce wrap tastes juicy and delicious. The chicken + prawn pad thai is also fantastic with perfect seasoning. If you prefer vegetarian options, the fried eggplant and mushroom steamed bun hit the spot topped with a mouth-watering Japanese mayonnaise.

If this preview event proves any indication of how this new Wagamama location will fare in the Seaport, we can’t wait to go back!

Be sure to visit the new Wagamama location at 100 North Avenue in the Boston Seaport and to follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for exciting photos and news about Wagamama!
