I’ve had three children. This means I’ve had three opportunities to stretch out my body in ways I never thought possible. With each pregnancy, I so looked forward to getting back to myself after the whole birthing process was over. And with each pregnancy, it became harder and harder to get back to my normal.
I would work out and eat right, but the combination of fatigue from nighttime feedings, and the demand nursing put on my body, it just wasn’t enough. No to mention, NOTHING, was helping me reduce the baby pooch. But, did you know, there is an exercise out there just for Moms looking to bounce back to a flatter tummy? Neither did I until I spoke to my friend Hope about The Dia Method. And it doesn’t even involve crunches! Did you know crunches are bad for you? You don’t know how happy I was to learn this.
A safe, effective and efficient way to return back to your pre-mommy abs, the Dia Method is the real thing. Founded by Leah Keller, this system takes you through a new approach to fitness, primarily developed as a pre and postnatal total body workout. It is becoming more and more popular with women looking to correctly train their abdominal muscles to achieve a firm, flat and toned stomach. Separated into nine DVDs for the Prenatal: Bellyguard and 9 DVDs for the postnatal system, these DVDs are effective in short 10 minute workouts. The postnatal system that I reviewed retails for $89.95.
After my second baby, I had a hard time returning to my former size even though I worked out and watched what I ate. After my third baby, forget it. It wasn’t until I realized I was “doing it wrong” that I got on board with the Dia lifestyle. What a difference – and I’m not just saying that! At first, I could only commit to the diet, and I quickly lost six pounds of what I call the “stupid weight.” You know that weight you keep on because you just had a baby, and you are convenience eating and not necessarily out at the market every day buying fresh produce? Yeah, that weight. I slowly backed away from the sugar and carbohydrates, which were keeping me puffy. Do you know what happens when you have a sugar addiction and quit cold turkey? You get a withdrawal headache for five days. Yep, nothing fun about that. Just goes to show you how much sugar I was eating and just how toxic it is for your body.
Losing the six pounds was motivation to start the workouts. Now I know the diet and exercise needs to be done in tandem, but I could only handle one thing at a time. I started the exercises and can honestly say – they work! I’m in the middle of own personal challenge, so I’m not done with my program, but I can now fit into smaller sizes and button my pants without the dreaded muffin-top effect. I think I was supposed to also take before and after photos, but since I’m a professional, I thought it best not to mix business with my belly. But you don’t have to take it from me, you can go read and read about some of the many success stories yourself.
For you moms out there who are looking to flatten that post-baby belly, you have GOT to try the Dia Method. It was made for you. It was made for me. And I’m grateful to have the chance to try it out. It has made a huge difference to me at time where I felt my body was betraying me. It works if you work it. And I’m not just saying that.
